I used to think I was doing all the “right” things.
Layered clothing. Cold water. Deep breaths. Fans in every room. Ice packs in the freezer.
Avoiding spicy food like it was a personality trait.
And still… it would hit out of nowhere ...That sudden heat rush. Face flushing. Neck sweating.
That instant thought:
“Please don’t let anyone notice.”
“Please don’t let this last forever.”
“Please don’t make me stop what I’m doing.”
And the worst part?
It wasn’t just the heat.
It was the feeling of having zero control.
Because you can plan your outfit…
you can plan your day…
but you can’t plan the moment a hot flash decides to show up.
